There was also a couple with no model numbers like a little Kmart radio with a round dial in the top front portion of the radio, a Windsor AM/FM with a round dial and speaker grill, and a Bradford (house brand of Grant City apparently) that was horizontal with a slide rule dial. I don't think I'd hesitate to try a set of knobs for Stewart Warner 91-513, Philco 38-12. The Pioneer REALTONE was a modern reproduction Beach Boy set. Has anybody seen this? While I didn't spend a lot that you've supplied that sounds unique.
The American Zenith is dead but the Heath Comapny, parent of Heathkit is alive, still American owned, and doing well in its original home, Benton Harbor Michigan.
Looks and plays terrific. I often recollect about my first shortwave. WTB:Transistor radios - rec. The tracks I use in particular are Friend of the box. My granddaughter loves the thing. Slyvania, Philco, and Magnavox are owned by Thompson, a French company.
